BIG LOVE - pottery wheel taster session
Come along to our exciting pottery workshop at BIG LOVE Festival this year and 'Have a go' on the pottery wheel.
You will be guided by Melanie and her team on an electric wheel to throw your own pot using stoneware air-dry clay in a 30 minute taster session.
Then you have TWO choices:
You can either take your pot away to paint at home or …you can choose the amazing upgrade option to have your hand thrown pot glazed and fired back at Melanie’s studio - from a choice of 6 beautiful glazes colours.
PLEASE NOTE: if you choose the glaze option then you cannot take your pot home straightaway as it needs to go through a firing process. Your pot will then be posted to you within 4-6 weeks from the end of the festival - you can look forward to having your beautiful creation fired into a functional ceramic pot!
Whilst at BIG LOVE it’s the perfect opportunity for you to try it and maybe fulfill a life ambition!

Taster Pottery Wheel - 30 minute session at THE BIG RETREAT
Welcome to the Pottery Wheel Taster Session with Melanie Made Mud at The Big Retreat!
Join us for a hands-on experience with clay. Let Melanie guide you through the stages to create your own pot on the pottery wheel. No experience necessary, just come ready to get your hands muddy and have some fun! Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to unleash your creativity in a beautiful festival setting.
Book a 30 minute slot from Eventbrite over 4 days at £17.50 per person. See you there!
You can take your pot home to paint or you can choose our upgrade option to have your pot glazed and fired. Choose from 5 beautiful glazes, your pot will be taken to Melanie's studio for glazing, firing - then packaged carefully for post to you within 4-5 weeks. This optional extra can be booked at the festival.

Pinch Pot & Slab Building Pottery Session
Come along to this pottery session practicing the hand building techniques of pinch pot and slab building to create your own handled mug and bowl closely guided by Melanie Made Mud.
You will pinch and roll slabs and impress with found objects to beautifully decorate your pieces.
This experience includes everything you need to make and finish your creations ready for firing in a choice of 5 colourful glazes.
Your pottery will be delivered to The Crown at Pantygelli in 4-5 weeks from the session date.

Pottery Wheel Taster Session at The Crown at Pantygelli
Come along to this intimate pottery wheel session practicing on one of 6 pottery wheels for a closely guided experience with Melanie Made Mud.
You will learn how to prepare your clay, centre it on the wheel and throw simple cups and bowls, up to 3 pieces each.
This experience includes everything you need to make and finish your creations ready for firing in a choice of 5 colourful glazes.
Your pottery will be delivered to The Crown at Pantygelli in 4-5 weeks from the session date.
